About the Kiwanis Club of the Jersey Shore
The Kiwanis Club of the Jersey Shore was chartered officially on May 8, 2025 with 20 members. The club was born from a collective agreement that it’s important to leave the community better than we found it. The club consists of members 18 and older in Wall, Belmar, Manasquan, Spring Lake, Brielle, and Sea Girt communities. The club is open to anyone who wants to join.
Our Community Roots
Even though our club chartered in 2025, the community was no stranger to Kiwanis and our mission. Years ago, Wall and Manasquan both had respective chapters that served the shore communities. Many of their events benefited the community’s children and families and the Kiwanis name was known in households throughout the Jersey Shore.
Why Serve?
Simply put: kids need you. Our organization’s motto is “Kids Need Kiwanis and Kiwanis Needs You.”
Many assume the Jersey Shore community is affluent and unaffected by critical issues like food insecurity, lack of clean clothes, livable housing conditions and more - but they couldn’t be more wrong. Many pockets of our community have families in desperate need of these basic comforts that seem like every day simplicities to us, but are luxuries to them. That’s where Kiwanis can help. When we come together as a collective and mobilize to help our community, we’re making the entire Jersey Shore a better place to be for all families.
Not everyone has the luxury of asking for help. Our purpose is to make sure they don’t have to. We see members of our community struggling and don’t just ignore them, but jump into action. Join us in our mission to take action with more than words, and become a member today!
